DESCRIPTION

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: The Rehab Tech will report to the Therapy and Wellness Center Office Manager and Department Director

Pay Rate: $19.57 to $21.83/hour Salary based on experience

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain clean gym and office • Store, organize, and maintain exercise equipment

• Assist therapist with patient treatment

• Assist patients with use of exercise equipment

• Perform patient modalities

• Maintain clinic equipment inventory

• Perform Rehab Clerk duties as needed, including patient scheduling, answering phones, navigating electronic health records system

Skills/Abilities

• Proficient in the English Language and the ability to clearly communicate with patients and staff.

• Ability to operate and/or learn exercise equipment.

• Ability to operate basic office equipment; computer, fax, printer, scanner, etc.

• Ability to multi-task and complete tasks on time.

• Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism.

• Reliable and Punctual • Strong interpersonal skills • Ability to work in a team environment.

• Ability to interact directly with the public, medical professionals and other staff members on a daily basis

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Customer service experience

• Medical office experience preferred

• Fitness/wellness experience preferred

• Ability to communicate efficiently, both verbally and in writing

• Excellent phone etiquette

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy

• Aptitude for learning computer software

• BLS, CPR and AED certification. This can be completed during initial employment

Eastern Plumas Health Care is a small, non-profit, critical access hospital, providing comprehensive medical services to Plumas County since 1971. We operate an acute care hospital at our main Portola campus, which includes a 24-hour, physician staffed, emergency room and ambulance service. In addition, four primary care medical clinics and a dental clinic offer residents a full spectrum of health care services for Sierra and Plumas Counties. There are also hospital-based Skilled Nursing Facilities in Portola and Loyalton.
