Job Description
Job Purpose:
- As a Janitor at Eastern Plumas Health Care District, your main goal is to help keep our healthcare facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone. You'll play a big role in making sure our environment is healthy and happy for patients, staff, and visitors.
This is a full-time benefited position. Wage Scale $18-$21 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Dispose of waste materials properly, following health and safety guidelines.
- Restock supplies such as soap, towels, and toilet paper in all areas.
- Operate cleaning equipment like vacuums, floor scrubbers, and carpet cleaners.
- Strip and wax floors.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
- Assist with setting up rooms for special events or meetings.
- Work as part of a team to ensure efficient and effective cleaning procedures.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to protect yourself and others.
- Will work at any and all of Eastern Plumas Health Care's facilities.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- Experience in environmental services or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with healthcare facilities and safety protocols is a plus
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills and a friendly attitude
- Basic knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
